We are excited to welcome some amazing professionals who have joined us in recent weeks in our Behind the Wheel With ADHD certification program.  They hail from all over the country, Wisconsin, Tennessee, Louisiana, and California, and we are very excited to partner with them to bring our specialized training to the teens and families in the communities they serve.  We will be sharing more information on each of them over the next week, starting today with Brian Pottinger from Wisconsin.

REEDSBURG HIGH SCHOOL IN SOUTH CENTRAL WISCONSIN

 Brian Pottinger has been teaching driver education for 25 years and is the only driver ed teacher at Reedsburg High School, which has 900 students.  Brian is also the head football coach!  What is interesting about Brian’s situation teaching driver education at Reedsburg High School is that about 35% of the families in the Reedsburg community are considered low income and 10 to 20%  of his students have some type of disability or challenge.  With no formal training in special education, Brian came to us to learn more about how he could work with this population of students in the driver education setting to be more effective in teaching them the skills necessary for safe driving.   Brian completed our Professional Webinar training and he reports that after taking the webinar he feels more confident and learned new ways to work with his students who struggle with ADHD and other challenges.
